California Dreaming...
Can't wait for this summer, for Be Discovered's BEST Summer in LA experience to date.
Although winter is creeping in, we keep on going thinking about Summer in L.A.
In addition to our regular faculty and professionals, Be Discovered is working hard
at having more top choreographers for you to work with. This is for the full day of private
workshops.
We spoke to Brian Friedman and unfortunately at this time, he is not taking on any new teaching gigs as he is really busy and we are excited for him and all the top choreographers we work with, as they do keep busy not only teaching but working professionally.
In a few months, we will touch base with Mia Michaels again to see if she will be available for our Dance Intensive. At this time she is negotiating some large projects so she can't commit.
Luam whose credits include Fergie, Ludacris, Kelis, Kanye West, Ashanti and more is really excited about our program so we hope to be able to work with her for Summer in L.A. She will be also joining our faculty for Divas of Dance and Broadway Bound!
Bobby Newberry's credits to name a few are Pussy Cat Dolls, Eminen, Kelis and Eva Longoria. We look forward to having him as well work with our dancers as they are top in the industry.
We will update the choreographers as we go along but just wanted to share the exciting news with you.
In the next couple of weeks, The Program page will be updated with details on Summer in L.A.
Can't wait!

So You Think You Can Dance Canada
So You Can Dance Canada is going strong and doing very well for its first season.
It's great for Be Discovered to see so many talented dancers and choreographers who have worked with us throughout the years.
One of the top 20 dancers was Tamina Pollack-Paris, a dancer that Be Discovered booked out recently for the MAC Cosmetics DSquared Toronto International Film Festival party.
New York's Sho-tyme recently choreographed the House routine. Be Discovered was the 1st to have workshops in Canada with Sho-tyme whose credits include Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas and Shakira.
Be Discovered booked Sho-tyme to choreograph for the NBA's Toronto Raptors Dance Pak.
The 2004 Summer in LA dancers had the chance to meet Sho-tyme in LA where he invited the group to Mya's private concert rehearsal. Mya was great with the dancers and the dancers were really excited to have had the chance to meet her and watch her in action with her dancers, including Super Dave.
Toronto's Jae Blaze choreographed Hip Hop and Dancehall. Jae Blaze was a special guest who took Sho-tyme's Be Discovered Toronto Master Class. Be Discovered referred Jae to the US immigration lawyer who helped her get her US papers. This is the same lawyer that dancers meet in LA during Summer in L.A.
She is now working professionally as a choreographer all over the world and has assisted Fatima on many projects. She is signed by Bloc Agency, one of the agency's that will attend the Dance Intensive showcase. Jae was there at our showcase this past summer and offered her industry critique for the dancers assessments.
Amy Wright who choreographed Swing has auditioned and booked Be Discovered clients in the past when she was casting dancers/choreography jobs in Toronto.
Clarence Ford, choreographed Jazz has also auditioned and booked Be Discovered talent.
Melissa Wright owns a convention/competition in North America that has awarded Be Discovered scholarships including Summer in L.A.
L.A's Lil' C who choreographed Krump was at Miss Prissy's krump session/class during the Dance Intensive this summer. The dancers were really excited to see him. He is also part of the Neph Squad that Duece is also a part of.
Blake McGrath choreographed a routine for a Be Discovered client and also runs a convention where Be Discovered Summer in L.A. scholarships are awarded at. Unfortunately for this years tour we were unable to be there as Be Discovered was in Hawaii.
Luther Brown taught Be Discovered workshops in Toronto, Peterborough and Fergus Ontario.
Tre Armstrong also taught Be Discovered workshops including Be Discovered's Divas of Dance. Cities included Toronto, Scarborough, St. Catharines, Peterborough and Ottawa.
Be Discovered booked Tre on music videos and to choreograph for the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak. Be Discovered also referred Tre to the US immigration lawyer that helped her get her US papers that she needed for her Missy tour and to sign with Bloc Agency.
Look forward to seeing more of the choreographers that Be Discovered has worked with on future shows.
If you're interested in being a part of the audience of the US So You Think You Can Dance, you can with either of the Summer in LA programs as both includes your attendance for the elimination show in July.
Good luck to the 10 remaining dancers.
