What's New with this years Summer in L.A.?

IMAGE IS EVERYTHING! THE HOLLYWOOD MAKE OVER

Add this 3 day program to either the Dance Intensive or the Hip Hop Intensive. This program is not just for the serious dancers who want to have an edge in the industry but also for all dancers who want to learn to look and feel their best.

This is new this year and will be a hit not only for the dancers but also for the agents and professionals working with the dancers. They will see that these dancers are very serious and are taking the advice that other dancers in the past have received from them.

THE DANCE INTENSIVE

* 3 day Career Master Intensive with Tony Award winner Grover Dale. Although we have been working with Grover for the last few years, his workshop has gone from a 1 day, to 2 days and now this year, 3 days!!! Work with 6 choreographers, 6 working dancers, showcase for 12 dance agents and be scouted by the executive producer of a new reality TV show looking for dancers and choreographers. This will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

* As we have 1 extra day of dance at Grover's workshop, instead of spending Friday at the Edge taking classes, we will now be at the Edge on Tuesday. On Tuesday was the full day of private dance workshops, so as we won't be able to be at IDA on Tuesday, these workshops will now take place at Ography Studios following the 3 day Grover Dale workshops.

* Optional photo shoot with Lee Cherry will be at a new studio. This is great for returning dancers as they will now be able to have new backgrounds, new looks and more room to dance at the shoot. Lee has also invited a dance agent to come to the shoot for a meet and greet with the dancers and a chat and Q & A. This will be a part of both the Dance Intensive and the Hip Hop Intensive. Maybe if Adam Lambert is available, he too will stop by for a meet and greet. Adam came in 2nd in this years American Idol.


THE HIP HOP INTENSIVE

* We are awaiting info on who the choreographers will be at this years Urban Moves workshops. These are put on by the producers of America's Best Dance Crew. We are excited and can't wait to hear who they will be. This year we are back in Vegas and so it is exciting to be able to dance and tour both Los Angeles and Las Vegas in this 1 week not to be missed dance experience of a lifetime. Stay tuned for details!

* As Hip Hop dancers, you need to be versatile and with the Hip Hop Intensive, you will challenge yourself with new urban dance styles including old school and new school hip hop, house, krumping and more. We recently had workshops with Beat Freaks Lindsey B and she introduced Contemporary Hip Hop to Hip Hop dancers. At 1st, they were worried that they would not be able to do this as they weren't contemporary dancers and once they tried it, this was their favorite class. Contemporary Hip Hop will be a part of this intensive.

* As you will already be in Vegas, add on the Vegas Convention taking place August 3 and 4. Here you will continue your dance training in Hip Hop as well as other dance styles.
